One Year Check Up...

Emmi hatte am Montag mal wieder eine Routine Untersuchung bei der Kinderaerztin und wie erwartet ist alles in Ordnung. Emmi ist 74 cm gross und wiegt 8 kg. In ihrer Entwicklung ist sie in den meisten Aspekten schon auf dem Stand von 18 Monaten :)

Sie stillt immer noch viel und nach und nach werde ich versuchen sie zu entwoehnen. Zumindest auf 1 - 2 mal am Tag. Bin mal gespannt wie Emmi dass findet, die ist naemlich ganz verliebt in ihre "Nee Nees" (Emmis Wort fuer stillen) Ich hoffe aber dass Emmi ein bisschen besser isst wenn sie weniger stillt. Sie ist soooo waehlerisch!!! Das macht mich ganz verrueckt. Vor allem aendert sich ihr Geschmack anscheinend staendig... Was sie einen Tag mag, will sie am naechsten Tag nicht einmal probieren. Sie mag nicht einmal Sachen wie Kuchen und Kekse (???????????) und ihre Vorlieben sind eher ungewoehnlich fuer ein Kind. Sie mag Naturjogurt ohne alles aber keinen Fruechtejogurt z.B. Hat halt ihren eigenen Kopf die Kleine :)

Emmi had her One Year Check up on Monday and received a clean bill of health. She is 29 inches long and weights 17 pounds 11 ounces. She is in the 50th percentile for height and 10th percentile for weight. She has already hit pretty much all 18 months milestones :)

She is still nursting a whole lot and I am gonna start to gradually wean her to maybe once or twice a day. I am curios to see how that will go over with Emmi... She loves her Nee Nees... (She actually says "Nee Nee" for nursing) Nursing less will hopefully encourage her to eat more solid foods. She is the pickiest eater!!! Drives her Mama crazy. She will eat a lot of one thing one day and hate it the next. I am still looking for a pattern there... She won't even eat things like birthday cake or cookies (??????????) Her food choices are rather unusual for a toddler... She likes Plain yogurt for instance but usually doesn't like flavored yogurt.
