Emmi ist kein grosser Fan vom Autofahren, weil man sich da in diesen bloeden Sitz schnallen lassen muss, aber ihren neuen Fahrradsitz findet sie klasse!!!
Emmi hates being in the car since she doesn't like being strapped into her carseat, but she loves her new ride!!!

Windelpopo

Seit ungeaehr einem Monat wickeln wir Emmi mit Stoffwindeln. Aus Gesundheitsgruenden wegen der ganzen Chemikalien in Wegwerfwindeln und aus Umweltgruenden damit unser Windelberg nicht fuer die naechsten 30 Jahre in einer Deponie rumliegt. Ja, und Geld sparen wie uns damit auch noch. Stoffwindeln haben sich seit Omas Zeiten ganz schoen weiterentwickelt und sind eigentlich genauso einfach zu benutzen wie Wegwerfwindeln, blos dass sie natuerlich alle zwei Tage mal in die Waesche muessen. Inzwischen haben sie sich fuer uns super bewaehrt. Sieht noch dazu suess aus...

We have been using Cloth Diapers for about a month now. We believe it is better for Emmi since disposables have a lot of chemicals in them and we are doing our share by not contributing to filling up another landfill. And we even save money doing so!!! Cloth Diapers have come a long way since Grandma used them and they are as easy to use as Disposables. They just need to go in the washer every other day. It works out great for us so far and it looks pretty darn cute too...

Oma ist da!!

Oma hat es auch nicht lange ausgehalten ohne Emmi und hat kurzerhand einen Flug gebucht und ist jetzt fuer zwei Wochen bei uns zu Besuch!! Da freuen wir uns natuerlich!! Und fuer neue Zuschauer laesst sich Emmi natuerlich auch gleich wieder ein paar neue Tricks einfallen, wie vom stehen aus Spielsachen aufzuheben...

Oma couldn't stand to be away from Emmi long either and booked a flight and is visiting with us for two weeks. We are excited of course!! Emmi has a few new tricks for her latest visitor too... like picking up toys off the ground while standing up...

MeMe & Granddaddy

Letztes Wochenende waren Emmis MeMe und Granddaddy zu Besuch. Wie immer hatte Emmi viel Spass und das Wetter hat auch mitgespielt so dass wir einen schoenen Sonntag im Park hatten...

Last weekend Emmis MeMe & Granddaddy came to visit and Emmi had a great time as usual. The weather was good too, so we had a perfect Sunday at the park..

Sushi!!!

Vor zwei Wochen gab es zum ersten Mal selbstgemachtes Sushi bei den Trevathans!! Emmi durfte mit ihren Freunden Kaya und Keegan spielen, waehrend die grossen sich mit rohem Fisch beschaeftigt haben. Leider haben wir es verpasst ein Foto von allen Kindern zu machen, aber dafuer haben wir ein Foto von unserem Sushi Chef!!

We had our first Suhi night a few weekends ago which was a lot of fun. Emmi got to play with her friends Kaya and Keegan and the grown ups got to mess around with raw fish. We didn't get a picture of all the kids together, but we got one of our Sushi Chef!!

6 Monate alt !!

Am 3. Februar war Emily 6 Monate alt und es stand mal wieder eine Routineuntersuchung bei der Kinderaerztin an. Alles bestens natuerlich!!! Fuer die motorische Entwicklung gabs mal wieder eine 1+ und Gewicht & Groesse sind genau am Durchschnitt, Emmi ist 66 cm gross und wiegt 7100 gramm.
Emmi was 6 months old on February 3rd and had another checkup with the pediatrician. She is doing great of course!! She is in the 50 percentile for height, weight and head circumference. She weights 15 pounds 7 ounces and is 26 inches long!
