Doe & Pa

Dieses Wochenende haben wir bei Emmi's Uroma Doe und Stief-Uropa Pa im Osten Texas in der Naehe von Rusk verbracht. Doe und Pa wohnen in einem kleinen Haus mitten im Wald das frueher von Ihnen als Farm bewirtschaftet wurde. Unglaublich wie dunkel es in der Nacht ist ohne eine groessere Stadt oder Nachbarn!!
Mit Doe und Pa als neueste Zuschauer hat sich Emmi auch wieder einen neuen Trick einfallen lassen. Sie kann jetzt alleine aufstehen und fuer einige Sekunden stehen bleiben!!!

Und beim stoebern in Emmis Stammbaum haben wir erfahren dass Emmi eine Nachfahrin von Zachary Taylor, dem 12. Praesidenten der Vereinigten Staaten, ist. Wir haben sogar den gesamten Stammbaum um es zu belegen. Cool, oder?

We've spent the weekend with Emmi's Greatgrandmother Doe and Stepgreatgrandpa Pa close to Rusk in East Texas. Doe and Pa live out in the country in a house they used to work as a farm. I couldn't believe how dark it is at night without a close city or neighbors!!

With Doe and Pa as her newest fans she came up with a new little trick to show off. She can stand up by herself now and stand freehanded for a few seconds!

And we also learned a cool little detail about Emmi's family history. She is related to Zachary Taylor, the 12th President of the United States of America. We even got the papers to prove it.

We had a great time and I bet Emmi can't wait to go back, so Doe can drive her around on her walker some more..
