Morning Ritual

Dugan hat uns gestern mit Fruehstueck im Bett ueberrascht was Emmi und Ich beide super fanden :) . Emmi hat fast den ganzen Blaubeer Muffin alleine verdrueckt! Ich hab dann gleich noch Emmi's normale Morgenroutine auf Foto festgehalten. Die sieht normalerweise so aus: Sobald sie die Augen aufschlaegt ist das erste aus ihrem Mund "Milch!" "Bitte!". Manchmal hat sie die Augen sogar noch zu. Papa holt dann ihre Flasche mit Milch und wir kuscheln im Bett waehrend Papa sich fuer die Arbeit fertig macht. Dann hilft Emmi Papa Mittagessen einpacken und traegt es fuer ihn zum Auto wo sie dann auf dem Beifahrersitz die Einfahrt mit runter fahren darf. Jeden Morgen...

Dugan surprised us with Breakfast in Bed yesterday what Emmi and I really liked :). Emmi ate almost an entire Blueberry Muffin! I took pictures of Emmi's usual Morning Ritual after that. It starts with her waking up and immediately asking for Milk. And she does it in a voice like you would expect someone to ask for water after spending a day in the desert without. Very pittiful. Papa goes and get's her Milk (which has to be heated for 30 seconds in the microwave or it is undrinkable according to Emmi) and then we snuggle in bed while Papa gets ready for work. After that Emmi loves to help get Papa's Lunch ready and carry it to the car. And the highlight of her morning is that she gets to ride on the passenger seat down the driveway.

Wenn Baby vorhat noch laenger drin zu bleiben dann hoert es jetzt besser auf zu wachsen oder Mama platzt...

If Baby is planning on hanging out inside any longer it better stop growing now. I don't think my belly could possibly expand anymore!!!

Neue Kueche

Emmi und ich waren die Woche besonders kreativ und haben zusammen einen Herd zum spielen gebastelt. Sie bekocht mit Begeisterung Mama, Papa und alle ihre Kuscheltiere und Puppen.

Emmi and I got really creative this week and made Emmi an oven to play with out of a cardboard box. Emmi loves to cook for Mama, Papa and all of her babies.

Emmi's Albtraum

Emmi erzaehlt oefter mal im Schlaf. Meistens "Nein! Nein! Nein" oder "Mama!". Letzte Nacht haben wir endlich erfahren was so in ihren Traeumen vor sich geht. Es ging los mit "Nein! Nein! Nein!" und dann "Emmi's! Emmi's!" und dann fing sie an "Erdbeere! Erdbeere!" vor sich hin zu weinen. Unsere Emmi traeumt also nicht von Monstern unterm Bett sondern von boesen Leuten die ihre Erdbeeren aufessen! Wer genau ihre Erdbeeren weggegessen hat hat sie uns dann allerding nicht mehr verraten sondern hat weiter geschlafen.

Emmi has been talking in her sleep every now and then. It usually involves "No! No! No!" or "Mama!". But last night we actually learned what her nightmares are all about. It started with "No! No! No!" and "Emmi's! Emmi's!" and then she started to cry "Erdbeere! Erdbeere!" (Strawberry, Strawberry). So Emmi doesn't have nightmares about monsters under the bed, but about somebody eating all of her strawberries!!  She didn't proceed to tell us who exactly the strawberry thief was, but just kept on sleeping soundly. Funny.
